Globalization Event

Through Villa's partnership with the
University of Missouri-Columbia and their globalization project, "Show-Me
the World," Villa students and teachers were invited to participate in the
University's third Show-Me event. This event was named
Show-Me Korea
as participants were engaged through
video-conferencing with Mr. Sang S. Kim, Associate Director of Asian
Affairs at MU.
9th grade Villa Duchesne students and
teachers watched and listened to Mr. Kim's presentation, then followed
with questions about Korean schools and expectations, as well as inquiring
about student "leisure" time. Students were also able to "watch" a
traditional Korean drum song played by a visiting Korean
scholar.
