Cooperating School District
TELE (Technology Enhanced Learning Environment)
http://csd.org/tele/index.html
When students work with technology and the Internet, they are required to use higher order thinking skills. Each project they work on is, in essence, a performance task. All CSD classes are designed from a constructivist learning theory foundation. The instruction is inquiry-based and project oriented. The CSD philosophy is that technology integration takes many hours of training and is an on-going process. Therefore, they have developed the classes to be sequential.
Beginner classes start with developing the technical skills necessary to use the application
Intermediate classes develop additional skills as well as how to integrate the technology into the curriculum.
Advanced classes concentrate on developing projects that will prepare students for performance based assessments.
