Technology Mission
Statement
According to the vision of St. Madeleine
Sophie Barat, the foundress of the Society of the Sacred Heart,
Villa Duchesne/Oak Hill must educate its students to live effectively
in an ever changing world. The technology mission of Villa Duchesne/Oak
Hill School is to enhance the high quality of teaching and learning
throughout our school community by incorporating leading-edge
technologies into the curricular, instructional, communication
and administrative functions of the school.
The integration of technologies, facilitated
properly, will enhance learning quality, improve student problem
solving, and promote independence and interdependence as students
and teachers approach the learning process. Villa Duchesne/Oak
Hill School will use technology to encourage and empower students
to develop each of their multiple strengths and intelligences,
allowing students to reach their highest potential.
This mission follows the technology goals
as outlined in the Strategic Goals and Strategies [S1] [S2] of
Villa Duchesne/Oak Hill School
