Villa
Duchesne offers a wide variety of co-curricular opportunities
designed to develop leadership skills, the ability to understand
complex social issues and strengthen a sense of community. These
opportunities also provide outlets for interests and talents
not always covered in course work.

Highlights
• Villa’s
Show Choir, “A Touch of Class,” has been nationally
recognized at the Heritage Music Festival, winning awards for
Outstanding Show Choir as well as Outstanding Choral Program.
• 74%
of Villa students in grades 7-12 are enrolled in creative and
performing arts classes. The Thespian Society currently has 25
actively involved members who attend the Missouri State Thespian
Conference.
• Villa’s
Diversity Club sponsored its sixth annual Diversity Night last
February. Students gathered to celebrate our differences. Tables
overflowed with a variety of international foods provided by
Villa students and faculty. Dinner was followed by international
entertainment.
• The
seventh and eighth grade speech team participated in the Bellarmine
Speech League Meet several times a year. Their outstanding performances
have received consistently high marks and enthusiastic responses
from the judges. |
