Athletics
Villa
Duchesne is a member of the Missouri State High School Activities
Association and competes in Division 1 of the Metro Women’s
Athletic Association. Villa supports the following competitive
teams in grades 9-12:

Winter: basketball, racquetball
Spring: lacrosse,
soccer, swimming & diving, track & field

Highlights
• Golf
state champions 1999; third place in state in 2000; second place
in state in 2001; third place in state in 2002
• Volleyball
conference champions in 1999, 2000 and 2001
• Midwest
field hockey champions in 2001. Villa’s field hockey team
has been a midwest final four participant with eight midwest
championships for the past 20 years.
• Basketball
district and sectional champions in 2001
• Soccer
district and sectional champs in 2003
• Approximately
20 Villa graduates currently play for Division I universities
on athletic scholarships.
• In
2003, Villa Duchesne’s athletic director and varsity field
hockey coach Debby Watson achieved an impressive milestone: 500
career wins in field
hockey.
