Mrs.
Christine Sarra has been teaching
Drawing and Painting in the Fine Arts department at Villa Duchesne
High School since 1998. An accomplished painter and photographer,
she is currently showing work in St. Louis and New York City.
Mrs. Sarra encourages a love and appreciation of art making in
each of her students, and instills an awareness of the wonder,
complexity, and beauty of the world around them. |
|
Ms.
Laurie Blaes joined the Villa Duchesne
Faculty in 2000. She continues to teach Middle School Art, High
School Ceramics and Sculptures. Ms. Blaes exhibits her sculptures
in St. Louis and in many national exhibitions. She wants all
of her students to learn how to be creative individuals and appreciate
the time, energy and skills it takes to be an artist. |

Mrs.
JoAnne Vogel has been teaching Art
for 17 years, four of which have been at Villa Duchesne. An illustrator,
printmaker, and ceramicist, she often incorporates the fantastic
patterns of nature in her work. She values Art as a way of communicating
emotions and life experiences, and encourages her students to
express themselves through their work. She is currently teaching
Studio Art, Graphic Design, and Web Design. |
